The Central Texas Choral Society is an encouraging and welcoming place to continue crafting your musical talents. Share in the music-making process with others from across the community. Our singers range in both education and skill level and we welcome everyone to audition to become part of the group. Auditions for the chorus are held at the beginning of the Fall and Spring season (generally in mid-August and early January) and are also held as needed during the season. Contact the chorus about setting up an audition time.
The audition consists of some simple vocalises to consider range, timbre, and tessitura; a brief sight-reading and note-matching exercise; and singing of "The Star-Spangled Banner" or similar familiar tune.
